Number 19…

Okay, I’m starting to obsess over this. Helvetica is already the #1 documentary on iTunes, but it’s now reached #19 on the total movie sales chart. That’s for all 2,500+ movies on there, not just documentaries. We just passed 10,000 B.C. and In Bruges. Next up, 27 Dresses. You’re going down, Katherine Heigl! Download Helvetica from iTunes and help prove that an indie font documentary can trounce the Hollywood megapix! Update 7/18, 9:15pm EST: We moved up to #17 and bumped Heigl down. But then she came back, and we dropped to #21. And now it looks like Juno is makin’ a move on us! Update 7/19,
11:00am EST: We’ve moved back up to #19 and vanquished Heigl to #25. Must. Stop. Looking. At. These. Charts…

Congrats on the iTunes win!

Apropos of nothing, here's a spoof on font names that's well done, and I thought you guys might enjoy:

I just saw Helvetica last night and LOVED it. I was wondering if the soundtrack is for sale anywhere? I've found people talking about it and I know some songs are available individually on iTunes, but not (apparently?) the ones composed specifically for the film--if you guys were to sell the soundtrack on iTunes or Amazon MP3 or even as a regular CD, I would definitely buy it.

I too was going to ask about the soundtrack. If that were available, or even if just the songs were all listed together somewhere easy to access, that would be great!

here's an imix of the music from the film that's available to buy (this link opens iTunes):

there were a few songs and loops composed specifically for the film that aren't released as separate songs. you'll just have to enjoy them in the film.
